Welcome to the new Splendid Heritage Site

The primary goal of this site is educational and attempts to document and share the objects that are found in a number of superb private collections of American Indian Art.

Currently, five collections are represented:

Warnock Collection (about 425 objects)
Fenn Collection (about 248 objects).
Nagy Collection (about 46 objects).
Kinker Collection (about 106 objects).
Fry Collection (about 215 objects).

Over time we hope to add many more collections and thereby increase the research and educational value of the site.

To locate objects of interest, use the pull down menues, and search field above to select the attributes of the objects that interest you. With regard to "Regions" and "Tribes" you should only select from one or the other to avoid conflicts. After making your selections, click on the "DISPLAY" button, and thumbnails of those objects meeting your selection criteria will be displayed. If you click on the "ITEM LIST" button then a text list (faster download) will be displayed. The "RESET" button will reset the selections.

A site of this size will constantly be evolving as we find out new facts about the objects and as we add new collections to the site. Any errors, omissions, or mis-statements are our responsibility and we hope to correct these over time as we receive feedback on our work.

Several new objects have been added to the Warnock Collection and Fenn Collection.

Due to comments from a user that it is hard to see the objects "close-up", a large image navagation scheme has been implemented. When you click on an image, a larger image will appear. If you click on a detail in that image, then you will get a much larger image centered on that detail.
